Bulk cargo in ocean going vessels
Bulk cargo handling forms the base of the ports activities and represents more than 50% of the turnover in both volume and capital. We have a long tradition of cargo handling which is an important link in our supplying of products to the steelworks in Oxelösund and Bergslagen.
Due to our depth and 45 conveyor belts we can accommodate the largest vessels in the Baltic Sea. The unloading of ocean going vessels is also possible via storage or direct from vessel to vessel.
The quays are equipped with two gantry cranes and a shiploader. The gantry cranes are to be replaced in 2008.
