Paper products put very high quality de-

mands on the logistics chain. Any form of

smell effecting the products is unaccept-

able. This condition provides the desired

quality level for waste imports. They must

be dry. The bales must remain intact.

They must not smell.

I want to pay great tribute to everyone

involved in the shipping companies, the

cargo owners, the carriers and our own

terminal staff who have handled the flow

as expected. Very well done.

have just had a good dialogue with the

public in Oxelösund. We have taken the

public’s concerns seriously and demon-

strated what we are capable of.

And we are capable of a lot!

“Away, all that makes unrest, everything is

but dust and ashes,” sang Carl Michael

Bellman in the late 1700s.

During the summer period, between

May and the beginning of October, we

handled about 27 thousand tonnes of

waste bales for our clients. Everything

was then burnt to dust and ashes to

provide hot water and electricity to house-

holds in the Mälardalen region. The bales

were brought with RoRo vessels whose

main task is to transport paper products

to markets in Europe. The summer was

warm. Handling went very well and we
