Geminor’s SRF bales began.
SCA increased volumes
to the Port of Oxelösund from
the UK. We are preparing to upgrade the terminal equipment
for delivery in 2017.
New recruit
for the steel port’s management team.
Sören Lindby was appointed as new area manager.
The conveyor belt system for dry bulk
are working better
than ever thanks to preventive maintenance, which has also
increased our quality assurance. The operators first do an
inspection of the facility once a week. The maintenance
technicians do a more thorough inspection to prevent errors
and shortcomings.
New RORO traffic started
with SOL Lines which calls at the
port every two weeks. The Port of Oxelösund is included in
the Finland–UK–Zeebrugge–Finland flow. Oxelösund now
has three regular routes to/from the continent and the UK.
Planning started
for the odour purification of oil storage
caverns. As a safety measure, even the oil storage facility under
went a risk classification with respect to dangerous gases.
New agreement with Vattenfall
for the management of
biofuels (recovered wood chips, forest wood chips, bark,
logs, etc.) in the port was signed. In other news we were
selected to take care of the storage and transport of fuels
to Nyköping. In doing so we linked yet another business to
our concept of being “The All Inclusive Port”.
