Position #3 November 2016
AtoB@C was founded in 2000,
and their fleet now consists of 32
ice-classed vessels operating in
Scandinavia and on the continent.
With its large fleet, the company
highly value flexible solutions.
Since the beginning of the year,
AtoB@C has been calling at the
Port of Oxelösund weekly with a line that sails between Hanko
and Oxelösund.
“We now have a regular service to the Port of Oxelösund, where
we mainly transport steel, but where we can also ship forest
products, containers, pulp, scrap and more. Basically anything
that can be lifted onto a ship. The Port of Oxelösund is a partner
with the right equipment and cranes, but we also appreciate the
fact that the port is open around the clock,” says Per
Salokannel, who works with chartering at AtoB@C.
AtoB@C has the possibility to choose the vessel size based on
what and how much is going to be shipped on each occasion.
This creates practical, but also more environmentally-friendly
logistics solutions. This is why it is important to work with part-
ners who are just as solutions oriented.
“The Port of Oxelösund is proactive and provides solutions to
details. They do what needs to be done, and discuss it with us
afterwards. That makes our job easier and creates possibilities
for us to develop together,” says Per.
