Cargo handling in the transport chain
In our transport chain, cargo is handled by ship, train, or truck, where all transport by ship and train is a benefit to the environment. Annually, we handle approximately 4.5–6 million tons of cargo by ship and around 250,000 tons by train. For comparison, we handle about 700,000 tons by truck. At the port, we use an average of 232 quay meters daily and handle 30 different types of cargo according to best practices – considering both occupational safety and environmental impact.
