Under the Swedish Port Security Act (2006:1209), the entire Port of Oxelösund is designated as a protected area. Consequently, the port areas are fenced, and access is normally directed through a main gate. Anyone within the area may be asked to provide identification, and failure to do so will result in denial of access.
