The operations at Port of Oxelösund are subject to permit requirements. The company was granted an operating permit for port activities in the city port area in September 2023. The permit came into effect in February 2025. The County Administrative Board is the supervisory authority for the operations. The new permit is designed to accommodate both the known changes the company is undergoing and to support a more sustainable operation. The permit allows for the handling of up to 10.5 million tonnes of cargo over the quay.
