We turn volume into value

Unlocked Capacity – Creating Room for New Business

At the heart of our transformation is the ability to double our cargo handling capacity. As SSAB transitions to fossil-free steel production, extensive areas at the outer quays and bulk storage facilities will become available. This creates entirely new opportunities for us to handle up to 10.5 million tonnes of cargo while opening the port to new customers and a wider range of cargo types. For our customers, this means access to a port that can offer new logistics solutions, with expanded storage capacity and significantly higher throughput.

At the same time, we are building greater flexibility into our entire logistics offering. New operational areas and upgraded infrastructure make it possible to integrate sea, rail, and road transport in ways that optimize the entire supply chain. Companies that may not previously have considered the Port of Oxelösund now have access to efficient logistics solutions—whether for fuels, construction materials, or other bulk commodities, including new circular economy products. The increased capacity also enables customers to grow over time without the need to change logistics partners.

Thanks to our strategic location and our ambition to become the leading port terminal in the Baltic Sea region, we are now an even stronger partner for the future. For our customers, the message is clear: this is a port with room to grow, the capacity to scale, and new opportunities to develop business as market needs evolve.
